Powers & Abilities: Hydrokinesis, creation of scary-looking portals, and the ability to summon and dismiss his sitar. Damn fine musician, too.
Point of canon to be drawn from: The battle with Sora at Hollow Bastion.

Personality: Demyx is, to all appearances, a cheerful kind of guy. He's friendly and dorky and a little bit dense, with a distinct tendency towards flailing. On the other hand, he's also a Nobody. That's got to say something about him, right?
When in his cheerful state, Demyx...well, let's just say he doesn't like conflict. He considers himself "the wrong guy" for the job of beating Sora into returning with him. That's not to say he's a bad fighter, though. When he decides to apply himself, he's actually quite powerful. He can even (occasionally) manage to be frightening. (But only just.)
He's also been known to say that Nobodies "do, too, have hearts!" though whether or not he actually believes this is open to debate.

Appearance: Tallish, gangly, and blond. Very unique hairstyle--something like the bastard child of a fauxhawk and a mullet. Wears a long, black coat, though god only knows what he'd pick if he were allowed to choose his own outfits.

History: Not much is known about Demyx before he became a Nobody. At present, he's Number IX in Organization XIII, which means that he spends a lot of his time listening to Xemnas ramble about KINGDOM HEEEEAAARTS and getting sent off to do the other Nobodies' busywork. This includes, but is probably not limited to, going to the Underworld to attempt to get Sora to turn back into Roxas, and then later facing Sora again, at Hollow Bastion. (That one didn't go so well.)
Demyx first appears during Sora's journey into the Underworld. Demyx had stolen the Olympus Stone, a powerful artifact which allowed its holder to escape the strength-draining effects of the Underworld. Sora had been sent to retrieve the stone, which naturally led to a confrontation. During their meeting, it was revealed that Demyx had stolen the stone to lure Sora out, in order to attempt to return him to his previous state as a Nobody. Since Sora didn't know about Roxas at this point, he reacted with confusion. Demyx's orders (printed on notecards lest he forget them,) told him "if the subject fails to respond, use aggression to liberate his true disposition." Demyx seemed to doubt his ability to carry out these orders, but fought with Sora anyway, and was defeated. He disappeared through a dark portal, with one last plea for Roxas to "Come back to us!"
The next time Demyx met Sora, they were in Hollow Bastion. Heartless were attacking the city, and Demyx and his Dancer Nobodies were blocking Sora's path to help his friends. Though Demyx greeted Sora, Donald and Goofy in a friendly manner, they responded by mocking him thoroughly. Eventually, apparently angered by Donald's assertion that Demyx was only pretending to have a heart in order to trick Sora, Demyx attacked. He was once again defeated, this time fading from the world forever.
